Our current Design Team term has come to and end, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our Bacon Bits for all of their amazing designs over the last four months. We have loved working with these girls, and hope that you will continue to follow their blogs! Some of our favorites:
Today we welcome Isha Gupta to the Guest spot in the Pig Pen! Isha is a former Bacon Bits DT member, and we are thrilled to have her share a cool, trendy and oh-so-hot neon design with us today!
Isha says:
I'm Isha Gupta. I am a stay-at-home mom to my two daughters. I
love to read, sing, bake, crochet, or play Board Games with my
younger daughter in my free time. I've always been creative but got
hooked on stamping about three years ago.
I've been published in Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking, CARDS, CardMaker, Take Ten, Just Cards and Parchment Craft magazines. I recently was on the cover of CardMaker Spring 2014 and Paper Crafts 350 Cards & Gifts.
I
love exploring new techniques and applying them to my projects. One of
my favorite techniques is creating watercolor backgrounds with stamps
and ink. Two styles you will see most from me are cute and whimsical,
classic and traditional.
I
am absolutely delighted to be here at Hambo as a guest designer. My
love for Hambo stamps started when I was in the team last year!
We are glad to have Isha back with us - if only for a day! Take a look at her adorable and eye-catching design:
LOVE the neon! Never Sent Flours (1418) and Flours (1417) are available here.
Today I have my final card for Hambo Stamps. This DT has always been one of my favorites. Hambo has the best images. The sentiments are hilarious and super catchy! Monica and Tim are the BOMB! My teamies were super fab this time around. I am so honored to have been a part of this fun team! Thank you Hambo Stamps!
Hi there and Happy Monday! Here's a little cutie to brighten up your day and all ready for Valentine's Day!
A reminder too that you've got just a little bit of time left to enter into our current challengeL-O-V-E!!
Digital Image & Sentiment Set - Snow Heart Kraft cardstock & Martha Stewart/Love Notes 4x6 DP Other Stuff - ProMarkers, circle punch, heart punch, corner rounder, edge distresser, shimmer tape, pop dots and white glue.
This has been a week of birthday cards and today is no different... I have a fun BIRTHDAY card and gift tag combo using Bailey Cupcake.
For the card, I created a circle around the image using the sentiment provided. I used papers that I think are fun and perfect for a boy card – which is awesome since I have a particular little boy in mind! AND…honestly, you can never go wrong with a Bailey!
My card layout is from this week’s sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers(SC472) and it is a pretty fun one.
For my tag, I used similar supplies, but I punched out a few sizes of circles with the Designer Paper and ran the tag through my Cuttlebug with the Happy Birthday embossing folder. I added some ribbons, and bone button and Voila!
Hi Hoedown friends! Kendra here today and I'm sharing this fun little party favor that I made using the Party Elephant digital image from Hambo Stamps. Super cute huh?
To make the pocket, I simply cut a piece of two-sided pattern paper 4" x 7 1/2", scored it at 4", and rounded the corners. I used Scor-tape to hold it in place. Then I wrapped some twine around it several times, tied a bow and added a some little happy birthday tags (from my computer). Easy Peasy!
Hello friends!
Deborah here and today I want to share with you a fun image that is perfect for the upcoming Super bowl. It's called Football Girl. The best part is that you can color her in your favorite team colors and really get creative to show your support.
For me, I colored her in with my long ago high school colors. I didn't want to pick one team or another. (although.. **Cough** GO BRONCOS!) :) This little cutie is colored with Copics and I used a little pointillism for the sky and ground. The paper is from Echo Parks This and That collection. I left off a sentiment for addition to later, but think of all you can say?!! The card was finished with some ribbon and a button. One thing I noticed while making this card, is how limited supplies I have for sports going ideas! I definitely don't have too many unless it has to do with basketball or baseball. The only two sports my kids play. I really wanted to add a few more elements, but... I couldn't find any!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you all stay warm and have a great day!

Hi there Hambo friends!! It is a beautiful wintery, cold but sunny day here in Yorkshire, England, crisp and clean...love it.!! enough of the weather update!!... I am here to tell you about my latest card, inspired by the 1973 hit record "Tie a yellow ribbon round the ole oak tree", a hit for Dawn, featuring Tony Orlando. I actually made this card a while ago using the TREESdigi image with the lyrics of the song as a background, but didn't know if I was infringing any copyright laws or something like that, so I altered it, in hindsight..(a wonderful thing!!) I would have kept the lyrics background and softened it with some watered down white acrylic paint to make it less obvious.
The origin of the idea of a yellow ribbon as remembrance may have been the 19th century practice that some women allegedly had of wearing a yellow ribbon in their hair to signify their devotion to a husband serving in the U.S. cavalry, so the symbol of a yellow ribbon became widely known as a reminder that an absent loved one, either in the military or in jail would be welcomed home on their return. So I am dedicating this card to Deborah who has found that her husband is due home from the Army after a years absence.
The "Refrigerator" image from the Hambo Digital Image Store is a fun way to tell someone how much you care! This card is destined for someone who used to put many pictures and notes on my fridge! Happy Stamping! ~Juliana
Card Details: Image: "Refrigerator" from theHambo Digital Image Store; Paper: Bristol smooth paper; Basic Grey -- Girly Girl; Coloring medium: Copic Markers; Accessories: heart and corner rounder punches; foam tape;
Hooray for Saturday's! I hope you are enjoying your weekend, and here's a fun little idea for that cool friend of yours or even for a teen. I used the digital image called Sunglasses, and added a bit of sparkle too. I just wish I could find these purple sunglasses somewhere now!
Have a great day!
Jeannie ~
Digital Image & Sentiment - Sunglasses Cardstock & DP - Close to My Heart Other Stuff - ProMarkers, corner rounder, notebook punch, shinner trim, craftworkcards candi, pop dots and white glue.
Happy Friday! Today's card uses Hambo's Love Bug - which fits in with this week's Hambo Hoedown theme of LOVE.
I decided to color my love bug in shades of grey with a pop of red. I am going to need to practice this - shades of grey are hard! What about you, do you enjoy coloring in a monochromatic scheme? If you haven't tried it, go ahead and challenge yourself!
Hello everyone!
It's Deborah here and I am back to share with you a card that is fun, simple, and modern. I made this in tune with the new challenge that just went up yesterday, which is about LOVE. Perfect to get your Valentines a quick jumpstart.
For this card, I used the ever so versatile rubber image of Skyline as the main image. I stamped it up with VersaFine Onyx and added some clear embossing powder over it before heating it with my heat gun. The one building was colored in with some Copics, while I added the heart above it and the lines on the radio tower. The sentiment is the 'I Love You' portion of Even Mower stamped with Memento Black. It was completed by added a few rhinestones to the sentiment and radio tower and some Sakura glitter pen to the heart.
Thanks for stopping by and show the love- play along!

Hi friends... Kendra here today with a little bit of piggy love to share. I used the Floating Pig digital image, colored him with my Spectrum Noir Markers and then added some fabulous Valentine paper from Pebbles Inc. I also used two separate embossing folders ~ Chevron and Petite Dots from Crafter's Companion for some great texture on my card. The layout of my card is for this week's SCS Sketch Challenge (SC470).
Happy Monday!
It's Deborah here and I have a fun Valentine image you can use for that special Valentine in your life. It's unique and yet, it will surely bring a giggle and a smile to his/her face.
Using the digi image Beaver, I decided to use some kraft cardstock for a simple and fun design to make this card. I printed the image directly onto the kraft cardstock in a larger image than the original and cut it to layer over my black cardstock panel. The heart was traced and cut on a piece of red cardstock to be the color of the heart. The card was finished with the sentiment panel at the top, layered over the punched out panel, and some twine and wooden button.
This makes for a simple way to use your digi's without having to color the image, but making a statement in the simplicity.
Thanks for stopping in and have a great week ahead!
Hi there!!..Jane here to show you another card that I have made for the ongoing Hambo Hoedown challenge, which is to have animals on your project. This week I have used the BIG GIRAFFE image, isn't he such a cutie!! The thing with Hambo images is that they are so quirky, lots of them come with fabulously funny sentiments, but they are equally easy to make up your own fun sentiment to go with them, I still have a few appropriate sentiments for this gorgeous giraffe so I am sure you will be seeing more of him. There are plenty of fabulous animal images over at Hambo Stamps, so grab yourself one, join in the fun of the hoedown, and be in the running for prizes.
