It's a Hambo Hoedown!
Wait!
What??!! Yep, that's right! The Bacon Bits couldn't hold out anymore. We needed
a Hoedown and we figured you needed one too. So are you ready to Hoedown?
This Hoedown will last for a month (until June 3rd at midnight EDT.) The theme is FLOWERS. (We've
suffered through the showers, we deserve the flowers right??) Flowers need to be somewhere on your card.
You can use any company's image for this challenge but if you have a Hambo image, why not use it? If you don't have a Hambo image, feel free to grab
a freebie.
The winner of the challenge will receive 2 free digis of their choice from the Hambo digi store. You can enter this challenge once with a non-Hambo image or as many times as you would like if you are using Hambo images...

NEWS FLASH!!
"We interrupt this broadcast to bring you breaking news just in..........Jane Elizabeth France is staying on the design team at Hambo Stamps, she is delighted that they have asked her to stay on for the next term and is looking forward to all the new changes that are happening over at Hambo Stamps, and the Hoedown. Catch all the latest news and updates on the Hambo Blog Talk To The Ham!"
We are thrilled Jane is returning to the Bacon Bits team too!
Now on to this weeks challenge.....VELLUM!!! The Hambo Hoedown challenge for the beginning of this new term at Hambo Stamps is all about vellum. It is beautiful, magical stuff and it is my new love....(along with a gazillion other things!). So we have to incorporate vellum in our project with any Hambo image. I chose the gorgeous delicate digital image called GERANIUM.
I printed off two of the flowers, colored them with Promarkers, (such a delight to color with all the lovely petal folds) cut them out, then stuck them behind the vellum mason jar. I then layered it onto some Spellbinders die cuts after doing a bit of sponging with pink ink, and then added the vellum "love" die cut. The geraniums digi is such a generic image and can be used for a whole bunch of different occasions such as birthday, get well, thinking of you, sympathy, retirement.. etc... I love it and hope you do too. There are a few changes going on over at the Hoedown -- the challenges now run for two weeks, so.... even more time to make a gorgeous creation. Hope to see you there!
