"Ham & BACON" Blog Hop!!

Hello, and welcome to Hambo's "Ham & BACON" blog hop!! Our Bacon Bits, along with some awesome Hambo friends, are hosting our own special "film festival" where we are screening movie-themed projects based on the works of a pig's favorite actor.... Kevin BACON!!

Kevin has proven to be both a prolific and versatile actor, as the films featured in this hop should indicate. I'm sure you'll see some favorite movies of his, along with some you might have forgotten about.

As usual with our hops, there are prizes to be won: a $15 shopping spree in our digi store will be awarded to a randomly-drawn movie-goer who leaves a comment at each of the blog stops along the way, and a $20 Hambo site-wide shopping spree will go to the creator of the project voted "Best in Show" by our Bacon Bits. Though we appreciate comments any time, the deadline for prize consideration comments is Monday, April 14 at 10:00 PM EDT. We'll reveal the winners here on the Hoedown blog, on Wednesday, April 16 ... so don't forget to check back!

Kicking things off, our first movie dates back to 1991:

He Said, She Said

Movie synopsis: Womanizing, right-wing Dan Hanson and quiet, liberal Lorie Bryer work for the Baltimore Sun. Rivals for the job of new writer of a vacant column, the paper ends up instead printing their very different opinions alongside each other, which leads to a similarly combative local TV show. At the same time their initial indifference to each other looks like it may evolve into something more romantic. If only they can agree. (written by Jeremy Perkins)

Think "Siskel & Ebert" -- only with a bit more sexual tension! LOL

Kevin Bacon & Elizabeth Perkins co-star in this unique romantic comedy -- unique in that it tells the same story, but from two different perspectives. Isn't it funny how men & women can view the exact same thing in completely different ways? Click here for the full movie trailer: He Said, She Said

Because it seems that Dan & Lorie are always fighting in the movie, I thought the Grumpy Boy & Grumpy Girl digi images would be perfect, and I chose a card layout that symbolizes their opposition. Do you think they will find a happy place to meet in the middle? You'll have to watch the movie to find out!

And now the curtain is about to rise on our next BACON film, so you'll have to move fast if you're stopping at the concession stand first. Juliana's film is next, but if you get lost, our ushers can direct you to the correct screen:

Hambo Hoedown (<--- You are here)

Juliana Swanson

Lisa Cassidy

Libby Hickson

Jane Elizabeth France

Paula Riley

Jeannie Thomas

Lyn Tomlin

But a quick question before you move on: Do you think Kevin is more handsome with short hair or long?

Let me know in the comments section. Then off to Juliana's screening you go....

Happy Hopping!

What a FUN card, Monica!!!
Sweet coloring and great layout!

Personally I am a long hair fan, because then I can pretend that we are both 20 years younger. ;)

I totally knew if from first glance [ AWESOME idea - they are perfect airing for that movie. I love the triangle layout two - it totally makes them separate in a "he said, she said" fashion. That was a great movie and this was a GREAT start to the hop!
Lyn

P.S. I think I like the short hair!

Fun bloghop theme, Monica, and your card is wonderful! I like the contrast of bright colors with the grumpies. I can't wait to see the rest of the hop! Meanwhile, I like Kevin in the long hair photo!

Too cute!! What a brilliant idea for that movie. :-) And although I normally always vote for men with longer hair (you know how I feel about Johnny Depp!!) I actually think I prefer Mr. Bacon with his short do!

Super coloring and this would be a great "I'm sorry" card maybe for a significant other? Anyway, like I said before this is exactly the movie and stamps that I was going to do and changed my mind, so I'm so happy you did it! This has been a blast!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Love the movie blog hop that Hambo puts on each year! Kevin Bacon is a tasty inspiration for us crafters, especially with LONG hair. Your card perfectly showcases the movie He Said, She Said!

Monica, perfect images & layout for this movie. I haven't seen it, but it seems like one I would enjoy. Kevin with long hair is a cutie, but I like him with short hair. Thanks for a fun hop.
