A Special Kind of Challenge

Today is a very special challenge for us as we are teaming up with OPERATION WRITE HOME (Their blog: Stars and Stamps) to celebrate their birthday and send the cards we make this week to the TROOPS that protect and serve our country! Here is how this week's challenge works (please read carefully!):

1. Use Pig Sub (below) or ANY Hambo image for this week's challenge. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART is that you follow the Operation Write Home Card Guidelines listed HERE.  It is imperative that we follow the guidelines, so that the cards we send to OWH can be used by service members all over the world. Please read them carefully - including the part about glitter, handwritten sentiments, themes, and card size.
2. Link your card using inlinkz below, email a jpeg picture of it to us like always, and then send it (with a blank envelope) to Monica at:
Hambo Stamps
OWH Challenge
4907 W. Grace Street
Richmond, VA 23230-3609

Monica will then collect all the cards and send on to Operation Write Home!
3. Now, mailing your card to Monica is OPTIONAL. You can still play in the challenge, link up, and be eligible for our weekly prizes without mailing your card to be sent on. We realize that it will take some extra postage to mail to her, since it will need to be in a mailer that can hold a standard A2 sized card and envelope. HOWEVER, those that mail to her with YOUR CARD POSTMARKED by Wednesday, September 28, AND IF YOU INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS on a paper enclosed with the card, well ------ you will receive AN EXTRA FREEBIE for helping support our troops!

How fun is that?!!
This image is not available free, unless you played in last week's challenge and received it via email. Buy it HERE!
Isn't PIG SUB a fun image and sentiment for our challenge? I love it! Everyone that followed last week's challenge (and they were so creative!)linked a card to the blog post and emailed us a photo of their card on time received this week's image FREE! As always with our challenges, you can use ANY Hambo image and play along! Just follow the Challenge and you will be in the loop for next week's FREE digi! Don't have any Hambo images? CLICK HERE for FREEBIES!

We have a Guest Designer with us this week! Welcome Paige of She Who Must Stamp!! Here is her challenge creation:
And here is one of my favorite past Hoedown cards that Paige has created:
Thank you for joining us today Paige!
Bonnie created an adorable yellow submarine:
Marcie used Heart Basket for her OWH card:
And from the rubber line gallery archives, former Design Team member MacKenzie Bruckler uses Globe - 2917 and Rock My World - 2910:

Take a look at our most recent rubber stamp line release here.
Please link your Operation Write Home Card Guidelines Challenge projects using the inlinkz button below.  If you are uploading to an online gallery, use HamboHoedown34 AND Hambo as your keywords. That way we can find your creations! After you have linked here, please email a picture of it to hambodesignteam@gmail.com by the deadline so that we can get the image for Week 35 to you! This is a requirement to receive the next week's image free.  And remember, if you postmark your card by the 28th, and include your email address, you will receive AN EXTRA FREEBIE!

****Projects must be uploaded AND pictures emailed by Tuesday, September 27, at 10:00 PM CST to be eligible for Week 35's free digi image.****
Beginning October 5, entries will be due the MONDAY after the challenge is posted, rather than Tuesday.

Did we ever have fun looking at all of the household items on last week's challenge cards! So many creative ideas! But this one caught our eye especially, and wins this week's Best in Show:

We love Melissa's Q-Tip bushes and the fun and whimsical background! Grab the Trophy, 6. MelissaO,  and display for all to see!

Our Queen of the Hoedown this week is 7. CraftyGirl ! Congratulations!
Grab the winner's button for your blog, and be sure to email Monica at info@hambostamps.com with your choice of any digi image from the store here.

If you missed the "Sing Your Art Out" blog hop last week, you missed out! Oh what fun we had! You can still see all of the incredibly cute designs and creative songs that everyone came up with by starting HERE. But, our prizes are ready to be awarded, and here are our winners!
Our random hopper prize goes to Yolanda! And hard as it was, with so many wonderful entries, the Bacon Bits chose Dawn's "Monster Mash" wall hanging as our participant winner!
Both of you can email Monica (tell her what you won!) and she will get your prizes out to you! Congratulations!

We hope you will join us and get your dancin' shoes on!
