March: In Like a Lion!

Welcome to Month #2 of the Hambo Hoedown! Wow has time gone by fast.  It was a month ago today that we had our Kickoff Challenge with "Football Girl." We are so glad that you have all joined us. We are having a lot of fun and hope that you are too! Be sure to read this whole post carefully, as we have some extra fun planned for our Hoedown participants.

What a celebration of heroes we had last week with "Bird Hero"! It was so fun to see what different species of birds ended up in your sketches! Thank you for playing along. Congratulations to 19. Mary G. who was randomly chosen as last week's Hambo Hoedown winner! Please email Monica at info@hambostamps.com with your choice of any digi image from the store! And Mary, you can also snag the QUEEN OF THE HOEDOWN button for your blog!
Today's challenge is brought to you by LION. He knows that it's March and in he comes roaring! For this week, the challenge is to make a masculine card using LION and one of the coordinating sentiments, AND also have stripes somewhere in your design.
This image is not available free, unless you played in last week's challenge and received it via email. Buy it here!
Here are some fun designs from the Bacon Bits to inspire you!

Again, if you didn't play last week, use ANY Hambo image, make a masculine card, and show your stripes! Here to show you how is Joy using Party Raccoon - 1715:

As we said last week, everyone that followed the challenge, linked a card to the blog post and emailed us a photo of their card would receive this week's challenge image FREE!  So check your mailboxes! If you didn't get your card linked in time or forgot to email us (the deadline is always 10 PM CST Tuesday night before the new challenge), you can still play along.  Use ANY Hambo image on your project - just make sure you follow the theme! Link up, email us, and you will be back in the loop for the next free image! Read more about how the challenge works here.

Please link your Lion Challenge projects using the inlinkz button below.  If you are uploading to an online gallery, use HamboHoedown5 as your keyword. That way we can find your creations! After you have linked here, please email a picture of it to hambodesignteam@gmail.com so that we can get the image for Week 6 to you!

****Projects must be uploaded AND pictures emailed by Tuesday, March 8, at 10:00 PM CST to be eligible for Week 6's free digi image.****

And now for that extra fun we promised! Each of the first four weeks in March we will be choosing one participant to be a Guest Designer for one week of our April Hoedown Challenges! Hoedown Guest Designers would receive their image early and have their card showcased at the Hoedown, along with the Bacon Bits' cards! So put your thinking caps on, and show us your stuff! Guest Designers will be notified via email at the end of March.

We aren't "LION" -- we want to see your creations! Have fun!

I just love your images! I've already made 2 cards with this adorable lion and plan to make more. I look forward to the Hambo Hoedown Challenges each and every week. Getting the image before the challenge rules increases my anticipation even more. This morning, I got on my computer early before leaving for work just to see what the challenge rules were this week, and as soon as I got home, I got right to work. LOVE IT! DON'T STOP PLEASE!
